Planet-Friendly Also Means Animal-Friendly

Since we started in 2013, we've always looked at our total impact on people and the planet. While it was never said explicitly, that also meant the other plants and animals around us. Well, we wanted to clarify things.

"To put it simply," our President, Mike says "you aren't planet-friendly unless you're also considering your impact on the animals we're sharing the planet with."

As a company, Meliora Cleaning Products pledges never to use ingredients that are continuing to use animal testing in their production and manufacturing, effective April 17, 2017.

What is it - "Cruelty-Free" or "Leaping Bunny?"

Great Question! The logo you see at the top of this page, and going forward on our products is the logo of the Leaping Bunny Program. This is the program developed by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) and their international partners in the US, Canada, UK, and much of the EU.

"Cruelty-Free" refers to what we do - or don't do. There are other cruelty-free marks out there. Each of them is pretty great, because the companies involved in all of them are doing their best to be friendlier to the other critters on the planet. We liked what we've heard about the Leaping Bunny Program, so we chose that one, as have over 900 other companies around the world.

Being Cruelty-Free means that none of the ingredients are made by suppliers that continue to do product testing on animals. While there may have been testing done many years ago, more and more companies are refusing to continue the process of testing on animals in their quality or manufacturing.
