What is Erewhon?
Erewhon Market is an organic grocery retailer and Certified B Corporation with 10 stores in Los Angeles County, California. It was founded in 1966 by Aveline and Micio Kushi, who named it after the book Erewhon by Samuel Butler. Today, the chain is owned by Tony and Josephine Antoci, who have upheld the commitment to organic, ethically-sourced foods.
Which Erewhon stores sell Meliora Cleaning Products?
Our products are available in all 10 (and counting) Erewhon locations across Los Angeles. Erewhon has stores in Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Culver City, Grove, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Silver Lake, Studio City, Venice, and Manhattan Beach. Additional locations in West Hollywood, Thousand Oaks, and Glendale are coming soon.

Which products are available from Erewhon stores?
The Erewhon collection includes our Laundry Powder and Oxygen Brightener:
- Laundry Powder is a plastic-free laundry soap. Unlike conventional liquid laundry detergents, it’s made with plant-based soap, washing soda, and baking soda. Erewon stores will carry Laundry Powder in Lemon and Lavender, which are scented with organic essential oils.
- Oxygen Brightener is an ultra-concentrated bleach alternative. Unlike liquid chlorine bleach, Oxygen Brightener is made with sodium percarbonate, an oxidizer that’s safer for people and the planet. It’s also completely plastic-free!

We print the ingredient list for each product on the label and publish comprehensive ingredient information on our website.
Our packaging is all single-use plastic-free, and every product we sell through Erewhon is completely plastic-free. By making concentrated powders and solid soaps, we eliminate the need for unnecessary plastic. Since we got started in 2013, our products have prevented the production and use of over 3 million plastic bottles!
