Here at Meliora, we create products intended to clean surfaces only. Some products clean surfaces of your home, the fibers within your laundry, or even the surfaces of your body (check out our body soap!) None of our products are intended to clean any internal sections of the body - ever.
When it comes to making your own disinfectants, we also strongly recommend not mixing chemicals for DIY disinfection.
If you do not have disinfectant, remember that disinfection helps reduce the number of germs on a surface. Cleaning with regular cleaners (such as soap and water) is also necessary and helps reduce the number of germs on a surface. Clean with the product you have on hand. Spraying disinfectant onto a dirty surface is ineffective. You can read more cleaners vs. disinfectants here and why both matter during a pandemic.
If you already have a chemical such as bleach, congrats! Use it as a disinfectant. Follow the directions on the bottle to dilute it properly for safe use.
If you have an assortment of different chemicals, Do. Not. Mix. Them. You could kill yourself or someone else (this happens! one person died and 10 were hospitalized at a Buffalo Wild Wings in 2019 because of this)
Please - stay safe, everyone. But remember that washing your hands with soap and water is one of the best things you can do right now, aside from physical distancing.
