Full Usage Instructions-
Measure for your machine
Use 1/2 tablespoon for HE washers and 1 tablespoon for standard washers. The stainless steel scoop included measures 1 tablespoon.
-
Add powder directly to the washer drum
Laundry Powder dissolves in water. For best results, place directly in the drum beneath clothes, not in the dispensing drawer.
-
Wash as normal
Once dissolved, our Laundry Powder works just like liquid detergent. It’s safe for all fabrics and water temperatures.

People- and Planet-Friendly
People- and Planet-Friendly
We aim to make the best cleaning products we can with people and the planet in mind. “People- and planet-friendly” is our shorthand for that goal and the decisions and practices we make to support it. We use the terms “sustainable” and “sustainably” in a similar way to describe our products and practices.
We give specific examples to back up these phrases whenever we can, including factual descriptions of ingredients and packaging, company practices, and third-party certifications that hold us accountable.
Plastic-Free
Plastic-Free
Plastic-free means that the finished product contains no plastic in the ingredients and packaging.
While we design our finished products to eliminate as much plastic as possible, plastic may still be used in other parts of the product life cycle, such as the supply chain and manufacturing processes. For instance, raw materials may arrive at our factory in plastic shipping materials, and our team members use plastic gloves when handling chemicals during soapmaking.
Safer Ingredients
Safer Ingredients
Conventional cleaning products pose numerous health risks for people and the planet. We provide safer alternatives made with ingredients, materials, and processes that minimize negative impact.
We value third-party screenings that help us verify that our products meet our high standards for safety. Our products are MADE SAFE® Certified for ingredient safety. Laundry Powder is rated “A” by the Environmental Working Group in their Guide to Healthy Cleaning.

How much Laundry Powder do I use per load?
How much Laundry Powder do I use per load?
How much Laundry Powder you should use depends on your washing machine and the size and soil level of the load you’re washing. Start with 1/2 tablespoon if you have a high-efficiency (HE) washer or 1 tablespoon if you have a standard (non-HE) machine. This is based on a typical washing machine size of approximately 3.1–4 cubic feet and a load size of about 12–16 pounds.

Does Laundry Powder work with cold water?
Does Laundry Powder work with cold water?
In most cases, Laundry Powder will work well in the cold cycle, but you may want to use semi-warm or warm in cold weather.
Laundry Powder, like all other laundry detergents and soaps, requires water to be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15.56 degrees Celsius) to work properly.
In most modern washing machines, the ‘cold’ cycle mixes cold and hot water to reach this temperature. However, some machines also have a ‘tap cold’ setting that does not add hot water and may therefore not get warm enough to activate detergent. Additionally, cold weather can lower the temperature of water in your pipes and prevent the wash cycle from becoming warm enough. In this case, we recommend a warmer setting.
