Single-Use Plastic-Free Policy Suspension for Hand Sanitizer During COVID-19 Pandemic

Today we are announcing a temporary suspension of our policy to only manufacture and distribute products that are free of single-use plastics.

We do not take this step lightly and are specifically only using single-use plastics for our new Hand Sanitizer, which we're making at our facility during the sanitizer shortage across the USA due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our hand sanitizer uses glass bottles, plastic sprayers, and (for the shipped product) a plastic sealing tab to help prevent leakage.

Ordinarily, the use of plastic sprayers is intended to enable products to be multi-use and refillable. We want to acknowledge that it's unlikely that people will be re-using these hand sanitizer bottles and sprayers. The single-use sealing tab is not reusable or recyclable. You are, however, welcome to keep and reuse or re-purpose the bottle (and the sprayer) around your home.

We intend to continue manufacturing hand sanitizer until the COVID-19 health crisis passes and/or the regular supply chain of sanitizing products is able to fulfill the need. At that time we will go back to our regularly scheduled single-use plastic-free programming.

It really pains us to write this post but we felt it was important to continue being transparent in all things relating to the manufacturing and distribution of Meliora Cleaning Products.

Thank you all for your continued support!
